Southampton Concert Wind Band is delighted to announce a special concert appearance featuring one of the world's leading tuba artists. In a rare departure from his busy International schedule Les Neish will join the south coast musicians as guest soloist at Southampton's Berry Theatre this April. A highlight of the evening will be a performance of the exhilarating Salt of the Earth composed by Andy Scott specifically for Les - a spectacular concerto for virtuoso and band that will thrill and delight. This is also the title of Les' debut solo CD which scooped Brass Band World and British Bandsman Solo CD of the Year Awards. His follow up CD 'Shine' was awarded the prestigious Roger Bobo Award in Recording Excellence from the International Tuba Euphonium Association. His touring schedule takes him throughout Europe, USA, Canada, Japan and Australia. Join us in April for a night to remember.
