Wind and Brass Weekend

Date Uploaded: March 20th, 2016

Wind and Brass Weekend

The RNCM has a Wind and Brass Weekend coming up next month (23 and 24 April) and I wondered if you might be able to spread the word via the BASBWE website?

I haven?t done a press release as such, but below is a little blurb about it with full details available here.

RNCM Wind and Brass Weekend
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April, RNCM venues

Join us for this exciting new weekend for wind and brass players, featuring concerts, playing sessions and workshops in the vibrant surroundings of the RNCM. Open to players of all ages, levels and abilities, there will be opportunities to perform alongside our staff and students in two massed playing sessions ? one for brass players on Saturday afternoon and another for full wind orchestra on Sunday morning. Explore the history of the brass ensemble in the Philip Jones Centre for Brass Symposium on Saturday afternoon; gain insights into technique from some of the UK?s finest wind players in a series of creative instrumental workshops on Sunday; plus come and listen to performances by RNCM student ensembles and guest artists including The Wallace Collection. There?ll also be an extensive trade exhibition featuring major wind and brass manufacturers and retailers from across the UK and beyond. We hope you can join us for a fun weekend of playing, listening and learning!

Most events are free admission, with just two ticketed at ?10 .
