Nottingham Concert Band will be spreading its own brand of festive cheer around the region this Christmas with three special Sunday afternoon events.
After entertaining visitors and residents at Lark Hill Retirement Village in Clifton on Sunday 2 December, members of the 70-strong band will appear in the village of Bunny on 16 December for what Conductor & Music Director Robert Parker promises will be 'an afternoon full of festive favourites and seasonal singalongs' in the ancient church of St Mary the Virgin. Tickets are available from Kate Hunt on 0115 984 7090.
Nottingham Concert Band will then take to the stage in Radcliffe-on-Trent's Grange Hall on Sunday 23 December with a mix of show tunes, Christmas evergreens and community carols - from Mame's upbeat 'We Need a Little Christmas' to Chip Davis' sensitive arrangement of the Advent hymn 'Veni, Veni'. The band is playing at the invitation of Radcliffe-on-Trent Parish Council and tickets can be reserved through the council office on 0115 933 5808.
Both concerts start at 3.00pm and refreshments will be available.
